Italy and the South of France

We had a fantastic trip during the Half Term holidays, sailing from Barcelona on Norwegian Gem, only 20 days old, down to Sicily, up the Italian coast and across to the Cote d'Azur in the South of France. The weather was "changeable" but with a fantastic last day in Monaco and Monte Carlo. The ship was fantastic and everything that her Sister ship, Norwegian Pearl, is which we sailed on earlier this year.

The Roman sites that we visited including Ostia Antica and Pompeii were incredible and to walk around them gave us a real feeling of 2,000 year old history.

Pisa was beautiful although very wet that day!

Monaco and the coast of the Cote d'Azur were incredibly picturesque and somewhere that we would like to return.
